Dallas Love Field is more than just an airport.

Though it is not one of the largest airports in the United States, Dallas Love Field is a very important one. Not only is it a major hub for Southwest Airlines, but it also serves as a relief airport for Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. This means that during bad weather or other emergencies, Dallas Love Field can take on a larger number of flights and passengers. Dallas Love Field is named after Moss L. Love, who was a U.S. Army aviator during World War I. He was killed in an airplane crash in 1918, and the airport was named in his honor shortly afterwards. The airport first opened in 1927, and it has undergone many changes and expansions over the years. Today, Dallas Love Field is a modern and efficient airport. It has two runways and can handle about 700,000 passengers per year. There are plenty of things to keep passengers entertained while they wait for their flights, including shops, restaurants, and a museum. The airport is also home to the Dallas Fort Worth Aviation Museum, which is a great place to learn about the history of aviation in the area. The museum has a number of interactive exhibits, and it is a great place to spend a few hours before or after a flight. Dallas Love Field is more than just an airport; it is a important part of the Dallas/Fort Worth area, and it is a place with a lot to offer passengers.
